Kristin Fisher was added to CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent team in July of 2021. As a Space and Defense Correspondent Kristin Fisher is a reporter covering all aspects of space from NASA to the recently formed Space Force as well as commercial space businesses as well as space tourism. Kristin is the daughter two NASA astronauts. Kristin has grown up with the space industry and has covered Trump and Biden Administration space policies for FOX News as White House Correspondent. Over the course of this time, she covered the presidential 2020 campaign, two impeachment trials and two attempts to prevent the pandemic coronavirus, as well as two different administrations' initiatives. Her extensive travels with the president and vice-president also included an official trip to Afghanistan, which she took along with Donald Trump. Kristin was a fixture in the local news markets of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, as well as Washington, D.C. for nearly a decade before becoming a part of the CBS network. Kristin was the recipient of one Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. for her work as the CBS affiliate's single-man reporter. Using her skills on the set, Kristin established Field Mouse Films in 2014, which was a specialist in documentary style films for clients of corporate nature, including Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin is a graduate in journalism from Boston University. She lives in Washington, D.C., with her family, including their 3-year-old daughter.
